Dear Mr. Vineyard,

I returned to New York last night and found my check for $150. I feel like framing it instead of cashing it, but I guess I'll be realistic. Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing the anthology when it's ready.

Best regards,

Lynda

"I am a storyteller. My children tell me I’m better at it in person than on paper, but writing has been an addiction for me for over fifty years. . . . My heritage is reflected in the [Quaquay] story, although I am only a quarter blood.
The Odawa People, their history and their struggles, have touched my heart deeply. It is my hope this story, as well as the others in the 'Quaquay Series' honors them as I intended."

Sally O'Quinn - $50.00 Winner!
Sally O'Quinn has been writing poetry and short stories since elementary school and attended college on a Creative Writing scholarship (back in the 1970's!). However, work and raising a daughter put writing on hold for decades, and it was only this year that she returned to her first love and began submitting work online. Since June she has had a poem and a short story published at Muscadine Lines-A Southern Journal and another short story included in an anthology of winning entries from Hazel Street's "Image-In" contest. Sally is a stagehand and lives with her husband Kelly and two dogs in Haines City, Florida. She would like to dedicate "Uncharted Life" to the memory of her friend John Luhn, who lost his battle with cancer in August of this year.

Dear Mr. Vineyard,
Thank you very much for the high recognition you have given my stories! It is very important to me and I will always remember it as an encouraging sign for my first step into the vast creative world of your country.
I was charmed by your idea of publishing collections dedicated to creative writing in the very beginning. I am sure that The Creative Writer will continue gaining strength and further establish itself as a discoverer of new, original ideas and unusual looks at the human soul.
Many warm regards to the J.D.Vine Publications team and all your readers from distant Bulgaria!
